Pricing for installed RESIDENTIAL aluminum fencing in Knoxville and Knox County, Tn. I am only pricing out 4′ and 5′ residential since this is the most popular sizes for backyards.
6′ high residential is available but not recommended as it gives an institutional look to the property, and 3′ high is available but too short for children and most pets.

Over 96% of our aluminum fence customers will choose between 48″ and 60″ fence heights.
Think of the aluminum fence height according to what your purpose for the fence is. So for containing children or pets 4′ high may be plenty. 48 inch high aluminum fencing will meet Knox County TN pool codes.
On the other hand, 5′ high aluminum fencing discourages any climbing or jumping over. Both fences are open so as not to block the view and you can see your children or pets to keep an eye on them. 60 inch aluminum fencing meets Knoxville, Tn city pool fencing codes requirements. Why the difference? Both municipalities adopt the IRC 2018 code book, Knoxville TN city adds height to their requirements.
The smooth top rail of Lancaster aluminum fence is safe for children and pets. No sharp edges this is by far our most popular fence.
4′ aluminum fence cost in Knoxville Tennessee will cost between $22 to $28 per linear foot, including the aluminum fence panel, one aluminum 2″x2″ post and one post cap. An average yard (200 linear feet) will cost about $5,200 to $6,400 plus gates at about $500 each (installed with hardware and heavy gate posts).
5′ aluminum fence cost in Knox County and Knoxville Tennessee will cost between $26 to $32 per linear foot, including the aluminum fence panel, one aluminum 2″x2″ post and one post cap. An average yard (200 linear feet) will cost about $5,200 to $6,400 plus gates at about $500 each (installed with hardware and heavy gate posts).
Pool code fencing changes from municipality with the majority requirement of 4′ height. Some will require a 4-1/2′ height and 5′ height will meet that requirement also.
Since the cost for 4-1/2′ is almost the same as 5′ high, (the rails are the same, little bit more length in pickets and post, but labor is same) most of our homeowners choose to go with the 5′ height. Also check with your homeowner’s insurance company to see if they have their own swimming pool fence requirements before installing pool fencing.
Aluminum gates are priced out separately and this will need to include several items. First the gate posts to support the gate (hinge side) needs heavier extrusion (thicker post) and extra wet pour concrete to establish a firm footer for the gate. The latch side of the gate should also be the heavier extrusion because it will take a lot of slamming abuse over the years. Gate hinges can be spring loaded but the important point here is that they are SPECIFICALLY MADE FOR ALUMINUM FENCING! These hinges connect on two faces of the gate post and the gate itself to secure the hinge. By using flat faced hinges you are definitely asking for trouble.
Gate latches also need to be SPECIFICALLY MADE FOR ALUMINUM FENCING!
Aluminum gate cost Knoxville fence company between $475 and $875 depending on size, style, and height and width.
