You pet may be nervous out in the backyard if it can here but not see what’s causing noise outside the fence. Recommend spaced picket fencing for most pets.

Aggressive pets (pets likely to bite) should have no spacing (privacy) fencing. Not that they can get their heads thru to bite but that young children can stick in fingers to pet the dog. What can you do to protect your aggressive dog and still let him see out? Consider a platform deck (4’x4′) located in the backyard for best view. That way he is safe from visitation and can see what’s happening outside.
