Aluminum Fence Picket Spacing

Now that you have decided on your choice of aluminum fencing, let’s talk about the picket spacing! That’s right you have choices here. Since the aluminum fence sections are pre punched for the pickets you will not be able to add them later, so make your choice before you buy.

How about tighter spacing and how much more will it cost? Well you can use double pickets for really tight spacing but that is expensive doubling the cost by doubling the aluminum pickets.

Now here is a thought. By adding just 4 aluminum pickets you reduce the spacing between the pickets to 3″ spacing which is usually more than enough to keep most pets in. And the cost? About $1.50 a picket or $6 per section or $1 per foot. So for a 300 linear foot fence it only adds about $300 for the tigher spacing. The labor cost is the same, the posts are the same, and use 3 rails as before.
