Southern Fence and Rail recommends two gates on most aluminum fence installations. First an aluminum pedestrian gate also known as a point of entry gate. Your aluminum gate will match the existing aluminum fencing blending in and hard to notice. However, for a point of entry gate (high usage aluminum walk gate) with an arch is a great fencing choise. The Lancaster arch aluminum gate defines the point of entry into your backyard. When entertaining it is a great place for decorating, football games, birthday parties, seasonal parties, and great for photo opts.

The second gate should be on the other side of your house, that is an aluminum landscape gate (oversized 5′ wide gate opening). Your aluminum landscape gate should match the rest of your aluminum fencing so as to blend in. This is for landscapers accessing your property or for riding mowers access. Most lawn service companies will need a 5′ wide opening for their equipment.

What about larger equipment access? Surely you want to be prepared for large access into the backyard in case you need vehicles there (new pool, tree work, room addition, digging up utility lines). Southern Fence and Rail offers two solutions for backyard access thru your fence. For infrequent use (once every couple of years) we offer a free access panel on installed fence projects.
