Older wire fencing that has been pushed and now loose on the top. EASY FIX with DIY TWIST TOOL
HOW TWIST TOOL WORKS
Simple fix for loose wire fencing. By simply using leverage you can twist the wire and tighten the line. Insert the TWIST TOOL along the top of the loose wire fencing and give it a half turn twist. Repeat every 18″ or 24″ to tighten up the loose section. You can quickly walk an entire line of fencing tightening up the whole fence line.
WELDING A TWIST TOOL
Simply weld two pieces (8″ long) of heavy wall slender pipe together. Grind a 3/4″ groove into the long end.
TWIST TOOL WITHOUT A WELDER
Don’t have a welder handy? Just make your TWIST TOOL out of pipe thread. Screw a long piece to the front (8″), then thread shorter 4″ pipe to both sides. Grind a groove in the end of the long pipe.
